My Reading Room

                            My Reading Room

The room, which is generally used for reading, is called a reading room. As I am a student, I have a separate room for reading. It is located just at the south end of our one-storeyed  building. Though it is not a big and spacious room, it is a neat and clean one. To allow free access of light and air, it has two doors and three windows. It is well set with electric fans and lights. In front of the room there is a flower garden that makes the room more attractive. The walls of the room are decorated with some paintings, pictures and photos of eminent writers and poets. In the room there are a chair, a table and a bookshelf. All my books and necessary articles are kept in the shelf systematically. As I am very fond of flowers, I always keep a flower vase in front of me on the table. It cheers up my mind and gives me much pleasure. My reading room is really a nice one having all facilities for studies. I seldom allow anybody in the room while it’s time for reading. I feel comfortable and easy while I am in the room. I always keep the room neat and clean. I really feel proud of my reading room.

A School Magazine

                           A School Magazine

A school magazine is an annual or periodical publication of the school mostly written and contributed by the students. It’s a forum through which our juvenile learners can get the opportunity to express the green ideas of their mind. Almost every financially solvent school publishes a school magazine every year. Both teachers and students write in it. Generally poems, short stories, articles, jokes, one-act play, riddles, etc. are published in the magazine. In order to conduct the work of publication of the magazine, a magazine committee is formed with the headmaster as the chairman and chief patron. The headmaster selects an editor mong the teachers. The editor at first invites writings from the teachers and the students for the magazine. After proper scrutiny and correction, the best ones are selected and sent to press for printing. The school magazine helps the young learners to develop their latent faculties. It helps them develop their power of thinking and writing. It offers the students opportunities to become a writer in later life. In fact, the school magazine is the first stepping stone for the future writers. A young learner feels really proud and happy when he finds his writing in the magazine.

Leisure

                                                   Leisure

Leisure means free time i.e. the time when our mind is relaxed and body is at rest. It is the sweetest moment when we are at our sweet will to pass our time in joy and merriment. Modern life is very busy witj little scope for leisure. But leisure is useful to both our body and mind. Our body need rest and relaxation to regain vigor and energy. It is essential to keep the mind cheerful and to drive away dullness and monotony of routine work. All work and no recreation make us dull and monotonous. Indeed, leisure is almost as necessary for life as food and water. So we must make some provisions for leisure during the course of our routine work. As such we should set apart at least a day in a week as leisure for rest and recreation. To make the best use of our leisure we must chalk out a program to spend it. We may have a get-together of friends and relatives on the day of leisure. We may also spend the leisure among the members of the family playing indoor games and doing recreational pursuits and visiting friends. In fact, a leisure is an essential part of life.

Then I go for a walk in the open air. At six I back home and take my breakfast which mother keeps ready for me. When my breakfast is over, I go to my reading room to prepare my day’s lessons. In between 10 to 11 a.m. I take my bath and have my meal. Then I go to school and stay there up to 4.30 p.m. I always sit in the first bench and listen to what my teachers say. When the school is over I come back home straight. Then I take some refreshment and go to the field to play with my friends. Just before sunset I come back home. Thereafter, I go to my reading room and study there till 10 p.m. At 10 p.m., I generally take my supper. Then I go to bed. On holidays, I spend my time visiting different interesting places with my friends. This is in short all about my daily life/activities.
